Banta of Greenwood Lake, New York, born in West Milford, New Jersey, who passed away on February 17, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Banta and Mariam O'Dell Banta; and his siblings, Marcia Flynn, Ronald Banta, Donald Banta, Gordon Banta and Dave Banta.
He is survived by: his wife Alisa Daven Banta; his children, Bre Driggers of Mt. Ulla, N. C., Heather Banta of Suffern, N. Y., James Smith Jr. of Rockwell, N. C. and Sean Lambert of Huntington, TX.; and his grandchildren, Sienna, Madison Cruz, Katie, Alissa, Emma Pressley and Cameron Lambert. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
