He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Filer and Elizabeth Filer (Williams); his brother Gerald Filer; his son-in-law David MacQuinn; and his granddaughter Jessica MacQuinn.
He is survived by: his wife Alma Filer (Duket); his stepchildren, Barbara Blanchfield and Edward Blanchfield (Terri); his sister-in-law Dorothy Filer; and his aunt Joan Williams. He is also survived by many grandchildren, step-grandchildren and great grandchildren.
