She was predeceased by: her parents, John H. Backus and Louetta M. Backus (Lacy); her son John Quarry; and her siblings, Roland Backus, John "Junior" Backus, Douglas Backus, Donald Backus, Elaine Morrissiey, Thelma Chapin and Madeline Closs.
She is survived by: her husband Robert N. Quarry, Jr.; her children, Jan (Norman Borgeson), Ann Quarry, Loretta Granger, Roland Quarry, Douglas Quarry and Christopher Quarry (Henry Gerwig); and her sister Mavis Cole. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
