He was predeceased by: his wife Clara; his parents, Antonio Abrantes and Catherine Tarbell (Tekarhotha); and his siblings, Evelyn LaClair, Delia Crotts, Victor, Ronald and Howard Abrantes.
He is survived by: his children, Dianne Soszka (Dan) of Pinellas Park, FL, Kathy Petrovic (Vernon) of Apopka, FL, Frank Moskal of Seneca Falls, NY, Joseph Moskal (Lynn) of Winchester, VA, Deborah Force (Ralph) of Apopka, FL, Mary Blow (Steve) of Lowville, NY, Stephanie Allen (John) of Raymondville, NY, Julie Bresett of Norwood, NY, James Abrantes (Amanda) of Lake George, NY and Antonio Abrantes (Sarah) of Lake George, NY; and his brother Jerry Abrantes of Syracuse, NY. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
Due to the exceptional medical and nursing care and services provided by the local Massena VA Outreach Clinic, the children ask in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Veterans Affairs, Syracuse VA Medical Center, 800 Irving Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13210.
