It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James A. Typhair of Gouverneur, New York, who passed away on November 29, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lemuel M. Typhair and Irene C. Typhair (Denecia); and his siblings, Lemuel A. Typhair and Joan A. Shampine. He is survived by: his former wife Patricia Typhair of Texas; his children, Betsy (Thomas Cummings) of Gouverneur, Rosemary Briscoe of Gouverneur, George (Michelle Typhair) of Theresa and Allen (Sara Typhair) of Texas; and his siblings, William (Martha Typhair) of DeKalb, Marie (Thomas McCoy) of Rome, Doris (Ronnie Fuller) of Texas, Mona Taylor of Ogdensburg and Carol Durham of South Carolina. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
