It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Devere E. Bliss of Freedom, New York, born in Houghton, New York, who passed away on November 11, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Bliss and Martha Bliss (McCall); his wife Faye Bliss (Webster); his son Justin Bliss; and his sister Marie Newland.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Bliss (Ronalda) of Bliss, Nancy Makowski (Dave) of Arcade, Mark Bliss (Dawn) of Arcade, Steve Bliss (Patty) of Arcade, Paul Bliss (Denise) of Clarence, NY and Vern Bliss (Tracy) of Arcade; his sisters, Beulah Gasper (late Richard) of Delevan, Betty Doedema (late Edward) of Yorkshire and Janice Crozier (Bruce) of Texas; and his brother-in-law Don Newland of Freedom. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
