With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alvin D. Vogel of Freedom, New York, born in Sheldon, Iowa, who passed away on April 16, 2022 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Vogel and Margaret Vogel (Bomgaar); and his brothers, Norman Vogel (Wilma) and Arnold Vogel. He is survived by: his wife Gwen Vogel (Wentworth); his children, Marsha Vogel of Des Moines, IA, Cynthia Pennys (James) of Indiana and Michael Vogel (Ruth) of Sheldon, IA; and his sister Frances DeKraft (Roger) of Hull, IA. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
