It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Esau Albert Sam (Fredonia, New York), born in Dunkirk, New York, who passed away on March 26, 2024, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Susan Sam; his siblings, Mike A. Sam, Norman A. Sam, Castle A. Sam and Mary Catalano; and his daughter Barbara A. Sam.

He is survived by: his sister Helen Sam; his children, Charles E. Sam, Robert E. Sam and Grace M. Sam; his grandsons, Alex E. Sam and Jacob E. Sam; and his great grandchildren, Blake M. Sam, Benjamin E. Sam and Alex Marie. He is also survived by cousins, neices and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the, Fredonia College Foudation, to be put towards the Esau & Susan Sam Scholarship that supports students in the Communication Disorders and Sciences Dept.
