She was predeceased by: her parent William Shields; her significant other Edward J. Stanton; and her siblings, Raymond Shields, Stanley Shields, Ruth Kilmer and Jean Selleck.
She is survived by: her parent Caroline Shields (Buck); her daughters, Nancy Vernold (Vaughn) and Kathy Hastings (Bill); her grandchildren, Stephanie Harwood, Kristopher Vernold (Beth), Jason Hastings (Lisa) and Meredith Hastings; and her great grandchildren, Emma Harwood, Andrew Vernold, Laura Vernold, Shae Scanlan and Maliyah Abdulai.
