He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Gillis and Elsie Gillis (Bain); his wife Lillian Clough; his siblings, Marjorie Herrington (Gordon), Richard Gillis (Edna) and Paul Gillis (Dorothy); and his brothers-in-law, Lionel Clough (Lela) and Roscoe Clough.
He is survived by: his daughters, Christine Martin (Peter) of Los Angeles, CA and Donna Gillis of Greenwich; his sisters-in-law, Eleanor Clowdus (Ken) and Jackie Clough; and his nieces and nephews, Sandy Saunders, Laura Gomer (David), Bill Herrington (Carol), Gary Clowdus and Mark Clowdus. He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
