He is survived by: his spouse Karen Collins; his grandson Alex; his daughters, Tina Ovitt (James Wheaton) of Wilton and Lori Johnson (Andrew) of Glens Falls; his granddaughter Riley Ovitt Johnson; his siblings, Ronald Ovitt of Hudson Falls, Milford Ovitt (Brinda) of Hudson Falls, Mildred 'Mickey' Hopkins, Mary Jacox (Lloyd) of Cape Coral and Joan Smail; his nieces, Kelly Cook of Gansevoort, Connie Walsh-Toler (Jim) of Moreau and Kathy Petteys (Carl) of Wilton; his mother-in-law Helene Collins of Queensbury; his brother-in-law Kevin Collins (MaryAnne) of Canton, Ohio; and his close friends, Richard of Fort Edward, Elaine Aiken of Fort Edward, Ben of Fort Edward and Charlene Bell of Fort Edward. He is also survived by husband, father, papa, son, and friend who encouraged and supported his daughters.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the South High Marathon Dance, 42 Merritt Road, South Glens Falls, NY 12803, to help others in need as the South High community helped them.
