He was predeceased by: his parents, William Savelis and Anna "Ona" Savelis (Zvikas); his wife Jane Kathryn Tierney; his stepson John Joseph Crossett; and his sister Helena VanAlstyne.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Donna A. Ankrom (Jim) of Snohomish, WA, Melissa J. Moore (Peter) of Fort Edward and William H. Crossett (Tina Sparzo) of Malta; and his nephews, Michael J. VanAlstyne (Kathleen) of Salem, NY and Bryan R. VanAlstyne (Lorraine) of Magnolia, TX.
