He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Auer and Barbara Auer; and his sister Maggie Herman. He is survived by: his siblings, Chris Auer (Jane) and Laurie Sorge (Tony); and his aunt Joyce Smith Cali. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews as well as many friends.

Due to Covid restrictions, services will be held at a future date.
