With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Irma Jonza of Fairport, New York, born in Yonkers, New York, who passed away on September 29, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Otto Engler and Frida Engler (Feucht); her children, Christine Randall (Brian) of Vernon, NY, Janet Lewis (Robert) of Henrietta, NY, Jeannemarie Fess (James) of Fairport, NY, Jeryl Reitzel (Michael) of Syracuse, NY, Jay Jonza (Florence Cecilia) of New York Mills, NY and James Jonza (Nancy Lee) of Lake Elmo, MN; her brother Robert Engler (Joan); her nephew Philip H. Wenzel (Crystal); her nieces, Wendy Mierek (John), Beth Childress (David) and Irma; her husband Jack M. Jonza of Fairport, NY; her sister Frida; and her brother-in-law Philip W. Wenzel of Vernon, NY.. She was also cherished by 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Maryknoll Mission or Catholic Relief Services as a tribute to Irma's unwavering commitment to helping communities in need around the globe.
