The memory of Barbara J. Smith of Esperance, New York, who passed away on February 25, 2025 at the age of 72, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. Though Barbara may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Barbara touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, Terry, Frank, Belinda Ryder and Elaine Dott. She is survived by: her husband David W. Smith; her son Jeremy Smith (Sarah) of Esperance; her granddaughter Daisy Smith; and her brothers, Leland Aucompaugh (Debbie) of Village Mills and Jeff Aucompaugh (Mary Lou) of Berne. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Esperance-Sloansville United Methodist Church (175 Main St, Esperance, NY 12066). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
