He was predeceased by: his father Peter Schwert; and his grandparents, Albert J., Eunice Foley (Williams), Harmon and Margaret Schwert (Holtz).

He is survived by: his mother Deborah Schwert (Foley); his sisters, Jennifer L. Nassivera (Steven), Amanda D. Walden and Eunice W. Schwert; his nieces, Elizabeth M. Chentfant and Jillian M. Nassivera; and his great-niece Victoria D. Hammond.

Donations may be made in his name to The Special Olympics.
