He was predeceased by: his spouse Shirley; his children, Lawrence (Jennifer) and Thomas; his girlfriend Mary Mumm; his parents, Lawrence Dole and Margaret Dole; and his siblings, Marie Wenke (late Donald), Lawrence (late Margaret) and Robert Dole (Carolyn).

He is survived by: his children, Margaret Skura (late Robert) and John Dole (Jill Pendergast). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.
