He is survived by: his wife Claudia; his children, Frances Fiore, Erin Johnson Oettinger and Alanna Johnson; his grandchildren, Enzo, Giovanni, Scarlett and Bruno; his sons-in-law, Frank Fiore and Marc Oettinger; and his brother Kevin T. Johnson. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the United States Submarine Veterans Charitable Foundation, Inc.
