He was predeceased by: his father William E. Lance. He is survived by: his mother Jeanne Bashford Whalen of Tupper Lake; his stepfather John Whalen Jr. of Tupper Lake; his sister Leslie J. (Guy); and his uncles, James V. and Jeffrey A. Bashford. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
