He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Elizabeth "Pat" Groth; his stepsons, James C. (Christine) and Mark D. Elvers; his grandchildren, Amanda Sexey, Grace Ventura (Joel), Travis Elvers and Emma Elvers; his great grandchildren, Traeton and Legend Sexey; and his sisters, Pauline Sweet (James) and Cheryl Malczewski (Gerald). He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
