We are sad to announce that on April 7, 2025, at the age of 84, Rita Grace Macdiarmid of East Amherst, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Patrick G. MacDiarmid Sr.; her parents, Elias Attea and Rose Attea; and her siblings, Delores Sapienca (Frank), Philip Attea and Dorothy Wood (late James).
She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Schaefer (Rudy), Laura Oldread (David) and Patrick MacDiarmid (Erin); and her siblings, Rosemary Saffire (late Richard), Agnes Banks (late Don), Theresa Utz (late Frank), Sonny Attea (late Kay), Frank Attea (Kay), Cecilia Attea (late William) and Elias Attea Jr.. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.
