She was predeceased by: her parents, Teodoro Espada and Anastacia Colon; and her husband Juan "Tony" Laboy. She is survived by: her children, Marina L. Sepowski (James) and Francisco Laboy; her grandchildren, Steven, Sabrina, Crystal Lynn, Anthony C., Anthony J. and Antonio; and her siblings, Pedro, Felicita, Margarita, Leonardo, Pablo, Aurelio, Esteban, Nazario, Blanca Iris, Cirilo, Miguel, Teodoro Espada Jr., Miriam Mateo, Mary Espada, Adria Laboy and Rosa Parolo. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
