She was predeceased by: her husband Ervin VanAlstyne. She is survived by: her son Robert VanAlstyne (Michelle); her granddaughters, Thea Schoep (Jim), Terra Schultz (Doug) and Robin Wagner; and her great grandchildren, Samuel, Megan, Laura and Aurora.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be given to the Onesquethaw Volunteer Fire Company.
