He was predeceased by: his parents, Rodney DeMun and Clara Green (Deiter); his wives, Mary Ann DeMun (Armstrong) and Beatrice DeMun (Mehlenbacher); his son Rodney DeMun; and his brothers, Sherman and Rodney DeMun Jr..

He is survived by: his sons, Ricky DeMun (Darlene) of Perry, Robin DeMun (Genevieve) of Dansville and Shane DeMun (Tammy) of Nunda; his stepchildren, Veronica Bailey of Batavia and Jerry Slager of Nunda; and his siblings, Linda Chapek of Perry and Carl Calkins (Arlene) of Michigan. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

Memorial tributes may be made in the form of planting a tree in memory of Orlo.
