He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur J. Bogardus and Ester Bogardus; his wife Joan Foley Bogardus; his son Randy Bogardus; and his brother Jonas Bogardus.
He is survived by: his sons, Alan Bogardus (Sharon) of Dundas and Dale Bogardus (Susan) of Athens; and his grandchildren, Josephine Silcox (Michael), Kaylee Schroeder (David) and Chatham Bogardus (Megan). He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
