She was predeceased by: her parents, James Cairns and Mae Cairns; her husband Salvatore Platania; her son Richard Platania; her grandson Richard Platania Jr.; and her siblings, Walter, Leonard and Louise.
She is survived by: her son Daniel Platania (Veronica) of Cranberry Township, PA; her sister Dawn Clark of Anderson, SC; her grandchildren, Jennifer Platania (James Ayersman) of Burlington, NC and Christopher Platania (Meagan) of Huntersville, NC; and her great grandchild Elliette Platania of Huntersville, NC. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to St. John's Episcopal Church, 66 Clinton Ave., Cornwall, NY 12518.
