He was predeceased by: his parents, James Burke and Loretta Burke (LaPointe); and his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Cheydleur. He is survived by: his children, Colleen A. Burke and Joseph L. Burke; his grandsons, Richard W. Fontaine Jr. (Megan) and Timothy J. Fontaine (Lindsay); his great grandchildren, Liam J. Fontaine and Greyson J. Fontaine; his brother-in-law Ronald Dion; and his close friend Doris L. Morrison.
