He was predeceased by: his parents, Armand Pier and Margaret Guilbeault Pier. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Jones Pier; his sons, Sean Pier (Diana) of Cohoes and Donald Pier Jr. of Troy; and his grandchildren, Alyssa Pier and Donald Pier III. He is also survived by 3 siblings and several nieces and nephews.
