He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Eccleston and Irene Rackett Eccleston; his son Ivan L. Eccleston; his grandson Robert "Robbie" Martinez; and his siblings, Gerald, Dewey, Clifford, Llewelyn, Mary, Betty and Elsie.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Boise Eccleston; his daughters, Dawn Martinez (Baudel) of Florida and Yvonne Parizo (Richard) of Florida; and his stepdaughters, Janice Sloan (Richard) of Harford, Linda Eccleston (Mitchel) of Cincinnatus, Connie McFarland (Larry) and Christine Aiken of Cincinnatus. He is also survived by many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
