He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James H. Smith, Sr. and Marie Smith; his son Richard Smith of Cortland; his former wife Lori Monroe of Cincinnatus; and his daughters, Ashley Arounsavath, Victoria Sutton, Autumn Parkhurst and Ashley Smith.
