He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul and Katherine (Stevens); his brothers, James and Donald; his sister-in-law Roberta; and his nephew Donald.

He is survived by: his sister-in-law Shigi; his nephews, Robert Victor (Lena) and Jeff (Laura); and his niece Mary.

His final gift was the donation of his body to Albany Medical Center for research .
