He was predeceased by: his siblings, Robert Butman, Tina Smith and Cathy Haney. He is survived by: his wife Shizuko Shimabuka Butman; his son Lee Butman; his granddaughter Lyla Butman; and his sister Carolyn Thompkins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
