It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Smith (Canton, New York), born in Potsdam, New York, who passed away on December 28, 2019, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mason Planty and Helen Planty (Davis); her husband Jack N. Smith; and her siblings, Richard, Herbert Planty, Eleanor Munn and Sarah Planty.
She is survived by: her children, Erwin Smith (Karen) of Webster, NY, Michael Smith (Kimberly) of Duluth, GA, David Smith (Lori) of Canton, James Smith of Canton, Debra Mousaw (Kevin) of Canton and Nicole Zeledon (Thomas Zandi) of Carthage. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
