We are sad to announce that on October 4, 2018, Joan I. Burwell (Canton, New York), born in Potsdam, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her sisters, Rica Parras and Theresa Brown; and her grandson James Burwell. She is survived by: her daughters, Marsha Burwell of Oregon, Virginia Murray (Kevin) of Lisbon, Dawn Meuten (Chris) of Ogdensburg, Brenda Hollars (Michael) of North Carolina, Deborah Middlemiss of Maryland and Jessie Burwell (Brent Brenno) of Ogdensburg; her sister Cheryl Longfellow of California; her parents, Earl Puirre and Virginia Rheome Puirre; and her spouse James R. Burwell. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
