He was predeceased by: his parents, Levi Hitchman and Grace Hitchman (Rohrmoser); and his brother Lawrence Hitchman (Judy). He is survived by: his wife Shirley Hitchman (Rathbun); his children, Paul (Karen) and Laurie Hitchman; his grandsons, Evan Hitchman and Chad Hitchman (Heather); his great grandchildren, Laken Hitchman, Anna, Heidi and Luke Hitchman; and his siblings, Francis Whitmore (Ronald), Fred and Dean Hitchman (Janet). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley.
