It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Laplatney of Canton, New York, born in Harrisville, New York, who passed away on October 27, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth LaPlatney and Ruth LaPlatney (Moore); and his wife Linda Powers. He is survived by: his sons, David Jr. (Kate LaPlatney), Michael (Christina LaPlatney) and John (Dorothy LaPlatney); his grandchildren, Bailey, Taryn and Wyatt David LaPlatney; his siblings, Richard (Darlene LaPlatney), Roger LaPlatney, Elaine (Tom Canfield) and Jane (Ty Dietz); and his sister-in-law Joan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
