She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Stachurski and Julia Stachurski of Plainville; her former husband Gerald W. Gates; her husband Henry Sekula; and her son Richard Gates.
She is survived by: her daughter Donna Gates Thomas; her grandsons, David and Michael Thomas; her great grandchild Dafydd Thomas of Camillus; and her sister Julie Fuller of Plainville. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
