It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Janice Porter of Camillus, New York, born in Wilmington, Delaware, who passed away at the age of 83, on July 19, 2021. She was predeceased by: her parents, Loring Litchfield and Helen Quirk Litchfield; her brother Loring Litchfield; her brother-in-law William Sabia; and also Mary Frances Litchfield.
She is survived by: her husband James "Jim" Porter; her children, J. Scott Porter (Susan) of Seneca Falls, NY, Jennifer Kraus (Bob) of Manlius, NY, Jonathan Porter (Lin) of Mill Valley, CA and Jason Porter (Jennifer) of Bedford, NH.; her grandchildren, Stephen, Hannah, Nora, Sean Kraus, Catherine, Jeremy Porter, Jack, Ben Porter, Jocelyn and Jared Porter; her sisters, Peyton Schofield of Wilmington, DE and Debbie Anderson of Kinston, NC; and also Alberta Sabia of Rochester. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family would also like to thank those who cared for them and Janice during her journey, especially the Syracuse Home staff whose job was only made harder by the COVID-19 Pandemic.
