He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Bounds and Eliza Bounds (Baldwin); and his wife Joan Wadsworth Bounds. He is survived by: his pet Lady; his children, Julie Laverty (Wayne) of Cambridge, Justin Bounds (Patty) of Hoosick Falls, Jo Shewell (John) of Glens Falls, Joseph Bounds (Cara) of Londonderry, NH, Joan Moffitt (Steven) of Salem and Jeffrey Bounds (Veronica) of Argyle; and his sisters, Catherine Ackley of Cambridge, Della Wadsworth of Salem and Pat Ormsbee of Walloomsac. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
