She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester H. Story and Eva M. Story (Armstrong); and her brother Robert L. Story (Dorothy R. "Dotty"). She is survived by: her children, Melinda Tokle (Sean) and Bruce Jurgens (Lauren); and her grandchildren, Ian Metzger, Cooper and Alivia Jurgens (Francis Fuchs).
