He was predeceased by: his parents, William Shanahan and Agnes Shanahan; his sons, Donny and Donald Shanahan; and his siblings, Gerald Shanahan (Donna Shanahan), Carolyn Prusiecki (late Joseph Prusiecki), Philip Shanahan (Susan Shanahan) and Karen Steiner (late Michael Steiner).
He is survived by: his children, Billy, Joey, Trish, Richie, Dolly, Kathleen Shanahan, William P. Shanahan (Linda), Kevin Shanahan (Lynn), Joseph Shanahan (Maria), Patricia Pokorski (Daniel), Richard Shanahan (Suzanne), Brian Shanahan and Dorothy Shanahan; and his siblings, Sharon Smolen (late William Smolen), Marirose Bless (Donald Bless) and Maureen Bartz.
