He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Cooper and Ruth Cooper (Keller); and his son Clinton Cooper. He is survived by: his wife Janice Cooper (McGarrity) of Bergen; his children, Christine Childs (David) of Churchville and Cole Cooper of Bergen; his grandchildren, Caden, Ryan Childs and Kennedy Cooper; and his sisters, Joan Cooper Manley of North Chili, Sandra Elzer (Edwin) of New Jersey and Karen Wu (Joe) of Connecticut.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Kidney Fund or Bergen United Methodist Church.
