He is survived by: his wife Martha Murray Shaffer; his children, Laura Filmer (Josh), John Tiffault, Ernest Tiffault, Jon Shaffer, Jody Shaffer and Kathy Harrison; and his brothers, Donald Shaffer (Belinda) and Steven Shaffer (Paula). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, and several nieces and nephews.
