He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Blackwood, and Lindley Blackwood, Sr.; his wife Leona Gerard; his sons, Lynn, Daryl and Jeff; and his siblings, Paul, Carl and Eleanor.

He is survived by: his children, Larry Blackwood (Dawn), Crystal Bunnell (Mike), Marcy Meaney (John), Linda Mullen (David) and Lori Kisielis (John). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
