He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia G. Rees. He is survived by: his sons, Robert Rees and Richard Rees (Noelle); his grandchildren, Corey, Kali, Allison and Emily Reese; and his siblings, Marilyn Sullivan and Russell Rees (Marcia). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
