He was predeceased by: his wife Jane; his son Brian; and his parents, Howard Welch and Dorothy Welch (Davin). He is survived by: his children, Dan Welch (Julie) and Krista Sokolowski (Tomasz); his grandchildren, DJ Welch (Rhiann), Sally Cappotelli (Archie), Mary, Thomas Welch, Adam, Aleks and Lucas Sokolowski; his great grandchild Howard Welch; and his siblings, Noreen Craven (David) and Dennis Welch (Paula).
