He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl B. Retzlaff and Loretta Shevlin Retzlaff; and his former wife Susan Larkin Retzlaff. He is survived by: his children, Barbra Retzlaff of Adams, MA and Brian Retzlaff (Christine) of Troy; his grandchildren, Krissy (Steve), Victoria (Corey), Alyssa (Andrew), Megan and Paige; and his great grandchildren, Nora, Emma, Sage, Peyton, Jameson, Willow, Jade, Wren, Rocco Fragomeni, Ken Longacker and Fred Hill.
