He is survived by: his mother Laurie Anne Yantch; his stepfather Fred Van Doren; his brother Erik Altermann (Amy Patterson); his grandparents, Nancy and David Yantch of Florida; his uncles, David and Christopher Yantch; and his pets, Ruthie, Zoey and Anya.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to, Operation Freedom Paws (it pairs veterans with service dogs), the Humane Society of Yates County or a charity of one's choice.
