She was predeceased by: her parents, Madeline Sliter, and William Sliter, Sr.; her former husband Joseph E. Nedza; her husband Eugene E. Smith; her sisters, Sharon Smith and Hollis Butler; and her brothers-in-law, John Greene and Joseph Smith.
She is survived by: her siblings, William Sliter (Barbara) and Eunice Greene; her children, Penny Bower, Jeffrey Nedza (Kathleen), Trixie Smith and Lewis Smith; and her close friend Elizabeth Young. She is also survived by 7 step-children, 14 grandchildren, a multitude of great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
