He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Gentile and Carol Rainone Gentile; the mother of his children Lucy Gentile (Pulvere); and his granddaughter Jessica Gentile. He is survived by: his wife Yolanda Malandruccolo Gentile; his children, Carol Shepard (Bob), Missy Gentile (Eilene), David Gentile (Lori), Greg Gentile (Joanne), John Gentile (Christa), Michael Gentile, Mark Gentile (Ann Marie) and Andi Gentile; his stepchildren, JoAnne Matson, Mary Ellen Antetomaso, John Malandruccolo Jr. and Susan Riordan; and his pets, Poppy and Posey. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.
